Kibali Gold Project – Feasibility Study

RSV was appointed by Randgold Resources and Anglo Gold Ashanti to conduct a feasibility study on the 2.5 Mtpa production hoisting shaft for the Kibali Gold Project – Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The scope of the project was to conduct the design, estimating and scheduling for the construction phase of a 730m deep, 7m diameter vertical ore hoisting shaft for the Kibali Gold Project to a feasibility level of accuracy (30% engineering and estimate accuracy of ±15%).

The initial scope of work included the project management services, engineering and design drawings, capital and working cost estimates including baseline construction schedules, to a feasibility level of accuracy. The scope of work formed the project baseline for the Kibali Gold Project.
